National Universities, Internet, and Digital Technologies in times of Pandemic

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic and the accompanying isolation measures (especially between 2020 and 2022) have profoundly affected educational practices in National Universities. During the pandemic years and beyond, new challenges and some solutions have emerged, prompting the need for comprehensive discussions. What relationships were established between higher education systems and digital technologies
during the pandemic? What happened with content, educational platforms, computers, connectivity, or the use of artificial intelligence? The article also presents a layered analysis (a particular theoretical-methodological approach) with the intention of fostering discussions and advancing a strategic and situated planning of digital technologies in National Universities. The research aims to rethink what technological solutions National Universities need beyond the pandemic.
